HDPE Pipe Fusion Welding

On-site butt fusion and electrofusion welding for HDPE pipe systems, backed by three decades of fabrication and welding experience.

Fusion Welding Service

Seamless, Leak-Free HDPE Joints

Sertec provides on-site HDPE pipe fusion welding — our technicians travel to your project and perform the joining work, so you don't need to source, staff or operate fusion equipment yourself.

METHOD 01

Butt Fusion Welding

Pipe ends are heated and pressed together to form a continuous, homogeneous joint — the standard method for joining straight runs of HDPE pipe on water, sewer and drainage lines.

METHOD 02

Electrofusion Welding

An electrofusion fitting is fused around the pipe using controlled electrical current — well suited for fittings, tie-ins, tight spaces and repair work.

Applications

Where Our Fusion Crews Work

Water Lines

Potable water main and service line joints.

Sewer & Stormwater

Gravity and force-main sewer, and stormwater conveyance systems.

Irrigation

Agricultural and landscape irrigation pipe networks.

Utility & Infrastructure

Duct, conduit and general utility HDPE installations.

Why Sertec

Certified Welding Crews, Documented Joints

Every joint is fused to controlled parameters and documented for your project records — not estimated by feel.

We currently offer fusion welding as an on-site service performed by our technicians. Equipment sales and rental are planned as a future addition — for now, our focus is getting your joints fused correctly, on schedule.

Common Questions

HDPE Pipe Fusion FAQ

What's the difference between butt fusion and electrofusion?

Butt fusion heats and joins two pipe ends directly — best for open runs where the machine has room to work. Electrofusion uses coil-embedded fittings welded by controlled current — best for tie-ins, repairs and tight trenches where a butt machine won't fit.

How strong is a fused HDPE joint?

A properly fused joint is stronger than the pipe wall itself. Nearly every documented joint failure traces back to a weld made outside of spec, which is why we record heat, pressure and cool-down parameters for every joint.

What size HDPE pipe can you fuse?

We handle a range of diameters for water, sewer, stormwater and irrigation applications. Send us your pipe diameter, SDR and approximate joint count for a quote.

Do you provide weld documentation for inspections?

Yes. Weld parameters are recorded per joint, so what happened in the field is documented, not just remembered — ready for your project records or inspector.

Have a Fusion Scope to Quote?

Send us pipe diameter, material spec and project location — we'll follow up with availability and pricing.
