Permeable Paver Installation — TrueGrid Qualified

A 100% pervious, H20/HS20-rated paving system that manages stormwater on site instead of shedding it off — reducing or eliminating the need for a detention pond, sold and installed or installed on material you already purchased.

How It Works

Water Goes Down, Not Off-Site

Standard pavement sheds nearly 100% of rainfall as runoff. A TrueGrid system replaces that impervious surface with a load-rated plastic grid over an open-graded aggregate base — rain infiltrates straight through the surface and into engineered storage below, instead of overwhelming the storm drain.

The aggregate base is sized to the site's detention requirement, which is what lets TrueGrid reduce or eliminate a separate detention pond on many projects.

System Specification

Engineered for Florida Traffic and Rain

MATERIAL

100% Recycled HDPE Grid

100% post-consumer recycled HDPE, pre-assembled in 4' x 4' sheets for fast installation, gravel or grass fill.

LOAD RATING

H20 / HS20 Load Rated

AASHTO H20/HS20 rated for commercial parking, fire lanes and heavy-traffic driveways — 20–25+ year service life.

STORMWATER

Stormwater Management

Infiltrates runoff through an open-graded aggregate base instead of shedding it — the base is sized to the site's detention needs.

Compliance & Credit

Counts as Pervious Cover, Not Impervious

LEED CREDIT

LEED & LID Credit

Qualifies for LEED credits and Low Impact Development program requirements on most projects.

DETENTION

Reduced Detention Sizing

Sub-surface storage in the aggregate base can reduce or eliminate the need for a separate detention pond, freeing up buildable land.

ACCESSIBILITY

ADA-Compliant Option

Fine aggregate infill (3/8″ or smaller) gives a firm, stable, ADA-compliant surface for accessible routes.

Certification

TrueGrid Qualified Installer

Primary Installer Training

Trained and qualified through TrueGrid's Primary Installer Training program.

Sold & Installed, or Install-Only

We can supply and install TrueGrid, or install on material you have already purchased.

Bundled With Site Protection

Coordinate paver installation with your temporary fence and erosion control on the same site visit.

Typical Applications

Where Sertec Installs TrueGrid

Overflow & Commercial Parking

Parking lots and overflow parking that need 100% pervious cover or additional land use credit.

Fire Lanes & Emergency Access

Grass or gravel-fill fire lanes that stay driveable and inspection-ready year-round.

Driveways & Pathways

Residential and commercial driveways, pathways and event lawns with a natural, pervious finish.

Common Questions

Permeable Pavers FAQ

What is TrueGrid made of?

TrueGrid panels are 100% post-consumer recycled HDPE plastic, pre-assembled into 4' x 4' sheets that interlock on site — no glue or specialized tools required.

Does permeable pavement reduce stormwater detention pond size?

Often, yes. The open-graded aggregate base under a TrueGrid system provides sub-surface storage that can be sized into a site's detention calculations, which can reduce or eliminate the need for a separate pond — freeing up buildable land.

Can permeable pavers handle heavy vehicle traffic?

Yes. TrueGrid systems are available in H20/HS20 load ratings (AASHTO), suitable for commercial parking, fire lanes and heavy-traffic driveways.

Is TrueGrid ADA compliant?

With the correct fine-aggregate infill (3/8″ or smaller), a TrueGrid surface meets ADA requirements for a firm, stable, slip-resistant accessible route.

How long does TrueGrid pavement last?

TrueGrid systems carry a 20–25+ year service life, with flex joints engineered to handle Florida's freeze-thaw and heat cycles.
